The figures are neither net cash flow nor a bank settlement balance.

## Payment source and date basis

`getAccumulatedPaymentFlow` queries `Payment` rows with status `SUCCEEDED`, joined to members in the current tenant. It sums `Payment.amount` by the Oslo calendar day of `accountingDate`.

Registration date and invoice issue date do not determine the chart position. A successful payment without an accounting date does not satisfy the date-range predicates.

The query has no plan, package, provider or subscription-status filter. Successful standalone invoice payments also qualify; unpaid invoice amounts, Pending payments and Failed payments do not.

The sum retains VAT where charged. It neither deducts provider fees nor joins Refund records. The refund path saves a separate negative Refund amount and a transaction.

Each payment stores a currency, but this query neither groups by currency nor converts amounts. Inspect currencies before interpreting a total containing mixed-currency records.

## Month boundaries and accumulation

The default target is the current month in Europe/Oslo. The second series is the preceding calendar month, including the December-to-January year change.

The API accepts year and month only as a pair; either missing value falls back to the current month. The report exposes no date-selection control.

Month boundaries are converted to UTC instants for the accounting-date query. Day grouping still uses Europe/Oslo, keeping midnight and daylight-saving boundaries on the same calendar basis.

For day d, the displayed amount is the sum of qualifying payments from day 1 through d. A day with no payments adds zero, so the accumulated amount carries forward.

The current month stops at today; the previous month includes its full length. The frontend uses the longer returned day sequence and inserts null for missing days in the other series.

Future days and nonexistent dates such as 31 February are therefore gaps, not zero-payment days. Compare matching day numbers when assessing the elapsed part of each month.

<a id="tooltip-totals-and-percentages"></a>
## Tooltip totals and percentages

The shared tooltip adds visible months’ cumulative amounts at the selected day. Its Total is not the receipts for either month alone.

Percentage is the series amount divided by the sum of absolute visible amounts. It expresses a share, not month-on-month growth. Hiding a month changes both the combined total and percentage denominator.

For example, this month has NOK 100 and last month NOK 200 at day 5. The tooltip Total is NOK 300; this month’s share rounds to 33%, despite receipts being 50% lower.

Amounts round to whole currency units; the axis abbreviates thousands, millions and billions as K, M and B. The chart does not label the currency.

Month colors can change because the shared chart sorts series by magnitude. Use month labels when comparing the series.

<a id="diagnose-an-unexpected-amount"></a>
## Diagnose an unexpected amount

| Symptom | Check and interpretation |
| --- | --- |
| Payment appears on another day | Compare accounting date in Europe/Oslo with registration date and provider timestamps. |
| A refund did not lower the line | Inspect separate Refund records; this query reads Payment amounts only. |
| Total exceeds this month’s receipts | Check whether both months are visible. The tooltip adds their cumulative amounts. |
| Percentage seems unlike growth | Recalculate its visible-total denominator; it is a share of the two months. |
| A line stops before month-end | Check current date and month lengths. Missing future/nonexistent dates are null. |
| Amounts cannot be reconciled | Check status, accounting date, tenant membership and currency before comparing invoices or settlement totals. |

The page uses Insights/analytics access, while its data endpoint requires Dashboard READ. Check both gates when figures cannot load.

No production arithmetic, mixed-currency case, tooltip interaction or ordinary-role test was performed. Use [Cash flow figures in Administrators](https://www.subrite.no/administrators/insights-cash-flow?md=true) for graph interpretation and controls.
